Please sign the e-petition for a memorial statue of Lee Brilleaux in Southend-on-Sea.

Lee Brilleaux (1952-1994), the former lead singer of band Dr Feelgood, is not only a world famous figure in musical history but also a local hero in Southend-on-Sea, and in Canvey Island, where the band originally formed in 1971.

As such, contemporary artist and Dr Feelgood fan Scott King would like to commemorate Lee Brilleaux by erecting a 300ft gold-plated statue of the musician on the foreshore in Southend-on-Sea close to the legendary Kursaal where the band played some of their most important gigs.

In order to make this public artwork a reality, the visual arts organisation Focal Point Gallery is gathering support through an e-petition.

Please sign this petition below in support of the sculpture.

If you would like to be kept updated please include your email address along with your name. Email addresses will not be shown on the online petition.
